TEXTILE TESTING LIST

How to deliver samples and receive results

• Materials for analyses may be delivered with their corresponding consignment note (CN).

• The analyses we perform are destructive in nature, therefore we consider cutting and other procedures that cause sample deterioration to be authorized. The following information should be specified in the CN related to the material for testing:

– If sample return is not expected or requested, the phrase “Material intended for destructive testing” should be indicated.
– If sample return is expected or requested, the phrase “Transport on account of testing for laboratory analysis” should be indicated.
– If the sample is a garment or any finished product, the phrase “Cutting of garment/product authorized” should be indicated.

• The following information should be attached to the samples delivered to our laboratory:

– Composition.
– Features and/or technical specifications (especially if conformity assessments are requested).
– Any additional information relevant to the analysis in question (e.g., requests regarding the language of the report, report delivery method, sample preservation, etc.).
Note: All requests made after the issuance of the test reports will incur additional costs.

• Upon request, we are available to perform urgent tests, subject to technical feasibility within the requested timeframe and prompt delivery of samples by the Client.
Note: The execution of urgent tests will incur a 30% increase in regular costs.

• Residue samples will be kept by our laboratory at the Client’s disposal for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of issuance of the corresponding analysis certificates.
Note: At the end of this period, we consider ourselves authorized to destroy the analyzed samples, unless a written preservation request is expressly sent by the Client within the specified 30-day period or other explicit contractual arrangements are made.

• The results and test reports refer solely to the analyzed samples and to what is specifically requested by the Client (e.g., language, report delivery method, sample preservation, etc.).
Note: All requests made after the issuance of the test reports will incur additional costs.

• We can prepare the test reports in either English or Italian. The request regarding the language should be made prior to the execution of the analyses.
Note: All requests made after the issuance of the test reports will incur additional costs.

• If not otherwise agreed, we consider ourselves authorized to send the Client a preliminary copy of the test report by fax or email. The original report will then be personally delivered or sent by regular mail. If the Client does not wish to receive the reports through these means, he/she must communicate it before the execution of the tests, at the time of our acceptance of the work order.

• Test reports and related technical records will be kept by our laboratory for a period of 48 months from the date of their issuance.
